You definitely have a point. While a lot can be done with the existing mesh output, cleaner/more optimized geo would of course be great.
Even if you combine it with BQR or quadremesher, results are not ideal. I have plans to improve on this though, with better low poly output options🫡

Rendering SDFs at a lower resolution gives a proportionally larger increase in performance.
for ex. at 75% resolution, performance can be up to 2x higher.
