Just played the Tucker’s Luck section. Loved it, in particular a great analysis of the scary skin Passmore. You’re right, the late Peter McNamara did have a short cameo in Grange Hill. He played a respectable VI former and had a brief scene with Trisha Yates and Cathy Hargreaves

That’s the other end of Sheffield’s electronica spectrum to Cabs. Used the tech to move in a very pop direction, all sweeping strings and digital drum patterns. Also good, just different. No sign of Martin Fry last night!

Cabaret Voltaire 50th (!) anniversary gig at the Forge Warehouse in Sheffield last night. Amongst the appreciative audience of bald men with large dark-framed glasses was Phil Oakey (bald but no glasses) looking very good for his 70 years. Pic of him leaving the venue below
