I support peaceful but annoying resistance from here on out. DO NOT BE VIOLENT. But do not assist. Make mistakes. Be Obtuse. Be Slow. Be overly detailed. Be polite and repeat instructions a lot. Do not write anything down. Be sloppy. Be annoying. We know who these people are. We can make life awful.
I am becoming concerned that America may never recover from the extended Trump administration. The damage being done will take years to recover. If the Republicans stay as they are and Dems are as feckless as they are, I don’t see a path to recovery.

What is happening in Minnesota just highlights for me the fact that America is failing its citizens. Not only that it is set on a course of self destruction and irrelevance in the future. It will be like any failed state with the people fighting the government and economy in free fall. Ruined.

What is incredibly sad is that Republicans think most American programs are full of liars and scammers stealing from the government. They are told this by leaders who lie to them and goad them into thinking that so they can steal from the government. I pity them.

i think this is key. taking the deal would amount to taking the blame. it would turn a clear political victory into an unambiguous defeat.
If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?
