I always got in trouble for questioning teachers. I have a problem with authority and I always have. I’m not going to do well in an authoritarian regime. It goes against who I am at my core. Someone tells me I can’t do something I immediately want to do it.

As a Puerto Rican, I have a bad temper just like my father and his father. But the thing that really makes us scary is our ability to hold a grudge. Once I get a chip on my shoulder, I never lose it. I never forget. I never forgive. Numquam ignoscam nec obliviscar.

As a member of rural community in California, I have to point out that the state tends to overinvest in urban centers and not invest as much in its rural communities. Smaller rural communities have fewer resources and are less able to advocate for themselves compared to major urban centers.

Everything about this administration is performative. There is no substance to anything they do. It's smoke and mirrors to hide grift. The performance is trumpeted on Fox News, which avoids lawsuits by saying it's entertainment. It is all lies, all theatre. It's Nero playing while Rome burns.

There is no better enemy than an idea for a government. This will be a war that can go on forever, have all sorts of made up members, and be a sink hole for funds. It's like declaring a war on "drugs" which is really trying to fight addiction.

If we were a humane society, we would use the profits generated from AI to provide universal basic income to people who’s jobs are destroyed by AI. It would also support a retraining fund to move those people to new industries. Instead, the wealthy get all the money and people are left on their own.
