Granted, AI already requires massive amounts of human labor, but it’s the kind of labor that’s easy for tech companies to hide and exploit.

You’re not going to get a truly good and useful AI without curating your data. But data curation requires human labor and imparts a greater level of ethical responsibility for the AI’s output.

Her previous owner didn’t brush her (Not his fault. His health was failing), but now that I’ve had her for a few months and been brushing her regularly, her fur is soft and luxurious.

Was at a training once where the facilitator said “Unsolicited advice is criticism. Always.” Half of the room audibly gasped/objected. The other half shouted a chorus of yes/thank you/amen. She offered no quarter to the “just being helpful” brigade. It was glorious.
