This is what happens when you embrace the open market (used to be a thing, remember?). The UK chose not to impose tariffs on EV imports, unlike the EU and the US. And guess who benefits? The customers. Shocking! Scandalous! 😁

A few years ago, skeptics about #BEV #trucks were everywhere. Range anxiety, battery weight, cost, charging infrastructure - the list of barriers were endless. #Hydrogen fuel cells were touted as a better alternative. Well, the market doesn't lie.

It is when the environment is threatening that the most adaptable survive.

#sustainability pros must be *willing* (first) and able to adapt. We avoid the temptation to cling to the more comfortable past (like the fossil fuel companies) or cling to 'moral' certainty.

This is far more important than people realize. Government take over of news & entertainment, (by co-opting their corporate owners) is close to complete in the USA.

A misinformed population is easily misled.

#sustainability leaders should take heart & remember; #US government is not your primary stakeholder; it should not be your primary driver.

Other markets need #GHG #emissions & other #ESG information, as do customers, investors, employees, etc.

Keep going!

That's the message to c-suite.

Thanks to global connectivity it will be harder, but not impossible, for us to enter into another 'dark ages' where people turn their back on knowledge believing in the superiority of rejecting learning.

This is why we lost understanding of how the pyramids were built, or how to get to the moon.
