Graag dien. Ik bin serieus as ik sis dat dyn ferske oer Aldtsjerk it meast oandwaanlik wie. Lykas do út dizze wurden sjen kinst, haw ik der ek in persoanlike reden foar. Ik winskje dy wille op dyn persoanlike wei fan it ûntdekken fan dyn talint en winskje dy in protte súkses.

Personally I would hate it if people would compare me with other artists (so sorry Valentina). I saw a mix of Adèle Bloemendaal, Francis van Broekhuizen and Tineke Schouten. And a bit of Jochem Myjer. Will not annoy her by saying that she plays piano like the young Mozart himself…

At the end of the show Valentina mentioned that this was the most chaotic show she ever played. Reason was a problem with the microphone. The way she handled it showed utter professionalism. As a member of the audience I can only say that we all felt like supporting her in this struggle.

The moment we saw Valentina in all beautiful nakedness, was not in the last scene (also beautiful though) but when she was singing Diep Vries Dorp. In this song about her youth in Aldtsjerk she really opened her soul and showed herself at her most vulnerable.

I saw @valentinatoth.bsky.social in her one-woman show Wildbloei (Fatal Flower) in The Hague yesterday . All the accolades she received are highly deserved.
