“[JD Vance] said there's absolute immunity. This is not true… maybe he's deliberately lying, maybe he just doesn't know. I figured a Yale-trained lawyer would know.”

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison tells Prem why there is no 'absolute immunity' for ICE agents.

Not to state the obvious, but saying you will attack an ally because you didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize, is exactly why you shouldn’t win a Nobel Peace Prize.

SCOOP: The Trump DOJ is preparing to eliminate the ability of U.S. Attorneys to recuse themselves from cases due to conflicts of interest.

A new rule expected to be filed this week will put that power in the hands of Pam Bondi.

Proposed rule would strip prosecutors of ethical independence and place conflict decisions solely in the hands of the attorney general

Huge win here by @aclu.org. Similar to a court order we and our partners obtained recently in Chicago in a similar case.

It's important not just because of the order itself, but because it creates a forum for accountability for federal officers who violate it who can now be held in contempt.

Lately, I’ve been wondering whether we’ve slipped into a kind of post‑legislative era. So many major questions seem to end up in court instead of being worked out through policy and debate. I’m trying to make sense of what that shift means. How are others seeing it?

The US already has a military base in Greenland. Under a treaty with Denmark that was signed in 1951, it has the right to build even more bases there.

That is why the argument of security for the US is nonsensical. The mafia boss Trump is interested in the minerals he can mine!

The minerals are a nonsense argument as well. Trump will be long dead before a single rock is processed by an American company. The purpose of threatening Greenland is to destroy NATO.

Is it 2026, or 1933? This from JD Vance should send a chill.

Bragging about ICE “going door-to-door and making sure that if you’re an illegal alien, you’ve got to get out of this country…”

Screw the Constitution and due process? This doesn’t sound like American values to my ears.

In JD Vance’s world, Jonathan Ross is both the hero and the victim. The woman he killed? She’s the perpetrator, solely responsible for her own death.

This is peak abuser language and a public battering of a woman killed by an abusive government agent.

If Congress waits, Trump will simply seize it before Congress can take a vote. Congress needed to vote on this LITERALLY yesterday.

Every hour that passes there is a MAJOR risk that Greenland is stolen from its people AND the NATO alliance immediately collapses.

How can they not see this? Act NOW.
“If we need to”…. You fucking need to.
Kaine: "I can tell you this -- we will force a vote in the Senate about no US military action in Greenland or Denmark if we need to. We will get overwhelmingly bipartisan support that this president is foolish to even suggest this."
