I need everyone who has ever counted buttons on historical clothing and uniforms, or painstakingly chose a color for a miniature's coat, or even taken a history class, to come together with me in hating this shit.

So if you could just donate one measly member of your adventuring party as a meal she’ll perk right up!
the sphinx doesn't mean to speak in riddles. she's very isolated, out there in the desert, and sadly her communication skills were never great even before they deteriorated. also low blood sugar makes it worse.

I remember watching a DONTNOD artist working on Vampyr move a streetlight back and forth for a solid 10 minutes once. What I’m saying with that anecdote is that Josh is right.
I remain convinced that the primary reasons most films look like garbage now is because very few people know how to do traditional lighting and even if they did they won’t take the time ($) to do it that way with the right gear.
the DP was really active on some cinematography forum and did a few threads on how they captured the look and it was really interesting, everyone assumed it was film stock and grading but it’s basically just 90% lighting and being fluent in it

It’s not just about whether or not the gyre is widening – its that the falcon cannot hear the Falconer. In today’s blood-dimmed world, it’s a game-changer that many don’t consider.

The kicker? A beast that is rough, slouching, and born.
