Writing and thinking, often in that order. I write books, draw/paint pictures and take photos. It's about time I put a stop to it. See my latest work at jonkenna.com
I was born in Runcorn and I still work there. It'd be nice to see it have a rise in fortunes as it's had a rough time over the last few decades.

Incredible how books from childhood stick in your memory. This Reader's Digest Great World Atlas 1962 was always around in the house and often used for panic homework. No idea where it went but thanks to the magic of the Internet, here it is. I especially remember the gemstones pages

Bluesky is still logging me out almost every time I leave and then return. No other app does this to me.

Someone seems to have taken an interest in my front window this morning. Lovely but slightly Hitchcock

Home now after a difficult day on the move. Delighted to see my name mentioned in this post by wonderful motivational writer Maha Al-Sanabani. Her piece certainly helped me. Her thoughtful and perceptive blog may help you.

Feelings of what's the point have been getting the better of me recently, including when I'm reading. I forget 90% of everything I read so why bother? This video provides the solution.
I'm going to start reading with a pencil in my hand from now on.

I feel like I'm in dire need of a break. Fortunately for me, I have the next 2 weeks off work! Hopefully that will help.

Deleted Bluesky app. Re-installed it. Still logs me out almost every time. I know it's a trivial thing but it's seriously making me question why I'm bothering to do this anyway. I mean really what is the point honestly?

I like Bluesky but it's just technically rubbish, maybe it's my phone but all my other apps are ok. It never works when I try to share something from another source and almost every time I open the app it's logged me out and I have to log back in. Getting to the point of not bothering anymore

Couldn't resist these from HMV yesterday. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert M Pirsig (all time fave of mine but I've lost my copy so snapped up this 40th Anniversary edition) and We by Yevgeny Zamyatin (apparently influenced Orwell's 1984) #books #reading
