I legitimately feel like there's a massive upheaval coming in the social media world - there is a ridiculous staleness permeating both major meta platforms (Threads is a joke), and TikTok went completely flat when it became US owned - the content and the algorithms are straight garbage now.

One of the wild things about resuming work on an album that got put on hold (again) for 2 years is exactly how much my voice has become more deeply characteristically raspy since the Kenosha sessions. Hope you fine folks love some Tom Waits action.

KO'ing everyone's 401k the week they started bragging about murdering citizens in the street on camera is the behavior of people who are on actual drugs. Not metaphorically, it's the behavior of people with underlying mental illness on uppers and steroids who are starting to feel cornered.

I use my phone as little as possible for messaging because of how much Touch Pads are absolute garbage for typing. It ends up being more frustrating and isolating, to the point where I've actually distanced myself from it.
I very badly want this, and I think it's further proof that a lot of the good stuff we abandoned in the last decade or two because shiny is making a clear comeback. Print is back, obviously, but also physical buttons, going to concerts without recording, and maybe even having a real-life girlfriend.

Watching everything that you've ever loved get swept away, or worse, decay and rot to nothing, hurts more than my poet's heart has the words to describe.
