If you wrote a "Trump distances himself from project 2025" story in 2024 you are either a dupe or one of our enemies. They are cackling with laughter that the media they're now destroying enthusiastically helped them dupe the voters

. . . Vance doesn’t think people who commit mortgage fraud should be allowed to lead the country . . . How did they not call him on that statement? Seriously why is American journalism so pathetic?
thebulwark.com
Vance on undermining the Federal Reserve: "I don't think we allow  bureaucrats to make decisions about monetary policy and interest rates without any input from the people that were elected to serve the American people...POTUS is much better able to make these determinations."

little known fact: In 2020, Republicans lost the White House and the Senate.
The Washington post
Democracy Dies in Darkness The murder of George Floyd under the knee of a Minneapolis police officer, in 2020, brought about another turn in the racial justice movement, with liberal activists chanting "Defund the police!" The idea was that the money should be reallocated to other uses, such as social
services. Though most Democrats, including Joe Biden, rejected the slogan, Republicans used it as an effective weapon in that year's election,
claiming it was an invitation to lawlessness.

Can we talk about that headline? If it’s true, you don’t need “Democrats say.” If it’s untrue, don’t put it in a headline. Either way, you’re fucking reporters. Find out what’s true, and write that.

If anyone ever writes a biography of me please know that I would like this to be the title. @raxkingisdead.bsky.social you looking for your next project? It would be a boring book but no one reads biographies anyway

Imagine taking fair election advice from Vladimir Putin. We’re so cooked.
atrupar.com
Trump: "Vladimir Putin said something- one of the most interesting things. He said 'your election was rigged because you have mail in voting. It's impossible to have mail in voting & have honest elections.' He said that to me because we talked about 2020. He said, 'you won that election by so much'"

Leading Together in Turbulent Times at #ABAAnnual

Leading in turbulent times is not about perfection, but about showing up with clarity of purpose. - Patrick Palace, President of the National Conference Bar Presidents

AI is underpants gnomes all the way down. A product the market can really use BUT they still have no path to profit. OpenAI is writing checks on a valuation 100x its annual revenue! There aren't enough new customers to make that up & its already priced about what people think its worth.

Just a reminder that literally all of the data we have indicates that the bar exam is not effective at ensuring competence but is effective at excluding people of color which was its stated purpose

Visions of the future with AI for people, the courts, and lawyers. I'm very excited for this article from Washington State Bar Association. With thanks to @damienriehl.bsky.social, Jayne Reardon, and J. Scott Schlegel who I have been bouncing ideas off for a year or so wabarnews.org/2025/07/16/t...

The judge I’m working with on a local rule argues that a disclosure tells her to further scrutinize the brief. This article is her biggest fear. I’m trying to balance the realities of local judicial caseloads with just saying “it’s your job to closely scrutinize all briefs”
