1/5 It was entirely predictable that The Telegraph would jump on @DavidOlusoga’s Empire series to fight its right wing culture war for control of our public history. Let’s see what they’ve done:

Just to confirm I’ve re-watched this. An interviewee: Mike Mountain Horse “signed on the dotted line to protect his country”. Olusoga: “…and they were not alone. Volunteers from the Caribbean …”. You cannot trust what History Reclaimed say in their media campaigns. Often it simply isn’t true.

Tottenham doing that losing the game but winning the battle but losing the war thing
Thomas Frank showed he had learned his lesson from the north London derby by swapping the 5-4-1 formation for 4-2-2-2.

Despite losing to Paris Saint-Germain, his newfound attacking intent offers a blueprint going forward.

The way we've set up I wouldn't be at all surprised if Raya needs help with a contract lens around the 15min mark.

We've got 4 senior attackers on the bench. Four!
Last time that happened Luis Munoz was still in nappies.

@gunnerblog.bsky.social how close were you to jumping in when Ayo asked Adam, "what do you think of Spurs?"

There's an advert on his website for a 'Depot Supervisor' that pays £12.75 an hour for shift work.
If he wants to reduce welfare spending maybe he should pay staff enough that they don't need in-work benefits.

NEWS --> BBC confirms to me that they did edit a line out of historian @rutgerbregman.com's speech. It called Trump "the most openly corrupt president in US history."

BBC also confirms this was done on the advice of lawyers. So Trump's threats worked.

Trump’s Fury at BBC Gets Unnerving Results with Pro-MAGA Edit Stunner
First, British Broadcasting Corporation execs resigned after Trump complained about a segment. Now the BBC edited out a line from a historian that was critical of Trump. Where does this end?

I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

I'm inclined to believe him when he says he's never "really tried to hurt somebody".

I think it comes very easily to him.

Somehow I made it through
Didn't know how lost I was

But you made me feel
Yeah, you made me feel
Shiny and new

Challenges like this have always been ok & for years it's annoyed me.
PGMOL bring in so many pernickety rules, but you're still allowed to wipe someone out after they shoot.

Player welfare is such a low priority.

There's one reason for a reasonable person to use that app, and that's to help take it down.
If that's not you, please stop.
If brands needed any more reasons to stop advertising on X, this is what you'd be supporting as an X advertiser: Holocaust denial (Grok's response to an antisemitic user with a H!tler profile picture).

Holocaust denial is a crime in France, so why can we see this there?
