Given the shitstorm that’s hit the teams behind The Alters, Magic: The Gathering, and Jurassic World Evolution 3 (among other titles), I’d be deeply intrigued to hear why someone would consider it a safe move to use generative AI on their project at this point - let alone go all-in on it.

I know everybody has different tolerances. For some 0.00001% is too much, for others it's much MUCH higher. I remain a bit mixed because the AI use was relatively small, but decisions were still made to use it. I already played The Alters before this, but I wouldn't outright boycott it at this point

So apparently The Alters used AI, seen in a Portuguese translation bug where a prompt was exposed. Now this is leading to a witch hunt for anything that LOOKS like it MIGHT be AI...I hope the devs respond because I honestly liked the game a lot and hate AI as much as the next guy so...torn
