Working my way through George Wylesol's 2120 this afternoon-- a fun interactive graphic novel in the style of Choose Your Own Adventures/old school point-and-click computer games with the tinges of the modern and surreal horrors of liminal spaces.

The Halloween season is a nostalgic one for me. I see lawn decorations and kids in costume, and I think back to the time in college when my friend Noah told me he thought the chorus of “Party Up” by DMX was “Y’all gon’ make me lose my mind, Pumpkinhead, Pumpkinhead.”

Now watching: a double feature of Rob Zombie's Halloween and Halloween II. Purposely skipped them the first time around but I am real real intrigued by the director's cut of Halloween II. Divisive is the word.
