Collaborating with @adrianamvillela.bsky.social has been just the best. And our talk is pretty good too, if I do say so myself. We’re about to uncover the truth of vendor-neutrality in #OpenTelemtry at #kcdwarsaw

@adrianamvillela.bsky.social and @joshleecreates.bsky.social showed us why OTEL didn't follow the pattern of xkcd.com/927/

Great talk! It always helps to understand where the purpose of one tool ends and others need to take over.

In Swedish, a word for what you eat to bridge the gap between meals (or while waiting for the main course to cook) is stödmacka. It means "support sandwich."

A similar word in Norwegian is ventepølse, or "waiting sausage."

@hazelweakly.me Ok, I give in. I'm adopting "Lakehouse" terminology and have added it to my personal spell-check dictionaries. One day I will represent a technology that is already in spell-check... one day.

SO sorry about the treatment your specialists and engineers received at the hands of our secret police goon squad. That's normally something we reserve for a different race of people who we like even less, hope you understand. Please come back

Happy Friday! Enjoy this fun GIF I made for an upcoming talk with @joshleecreates.bsky.social. Bonus points of you can name the characters. Yes, they all belong to me (except the MLP - borrowed that one from my kiddo).
