It was definitely a soup kind of night. I couldn't decide between chicken corn chowder and broccoli cheese soup, so I made a hybrid of both. It came out pretty good. Maybe a little bland. I think it is one of those soups that will taste better the next day.

🧶 Ten rows in, and I think I have the hang of knitting with the DPNs. The 2nd color looks gray in the photo, but it's a slate blue. It's nice to have something meditative to do when insomnia strikes, as it often does.

What are y'all having for dinner? I made corn pudding with cream cheese, extra-sharp cheddar, and diced pimientos, so it will taste like I put pimiento cheese in it. Boneless pork chops coated in flour and Slap Ya Mama are in the air fryer. We have leftover veggies and apple pie from Thursday.

I bought Stove Top stuffing last night to augment our leftovers. I'd never tried it before. I usually make stuffing (dressing) from scratch, but I skipped it this year. Big mistake. The flavor was ok, but the texture - meh. My brilliant S.O. suggested air-frying some to crisp it up. Much better!

I'm so thankful for my new job, but I need some new office-wear & the thought of going anywhere near a mall anytime in the next month - no thanks! And my sizes have changed, so I'm hesitant to shop online for anything. I went to a clothing swap a few weeks ago and didn't end up with a single item.

Today my boss told me about Utah's version of Silicon Valley, which is called Silicon Slopes. ISTG, it took everything in me to keep from blurting out that somewhere in Salt Lake City, there must be a drag queen named Silicon Slopes.

I thought making deviled eggs (just 4 eggs for the two of us to share) would be easy, but I over-seasoned and over-salted the yolk mixture, plus mustard water dripped in, and the mixture got a little soupy. #EpicFail

All I have ever knitted so far is 3 scarves. I'm attempting my 1st hat / 1st project in the round. I have until Christmas to finish it - it's a present, along with a scarf that's already done. It's going to have 4 horizontal stripes: aqua, slate, white, and navy (the scarf is vertically striped).
