We were blown away by the staged reading of Joyce's Exiles by Elevator Repair Service. The audience--a packed house--was riveted except when it was splitting its sides with laughter.
My book, Guilt and Finnegans Wake, is officially out today with Florida Press. We're having an online launch with @joycesociety.bsky.social on March 4, at 12 pm EST. I wrote a poem to entice you to attend. Maybe you already read it on Facebook. Here it is now:
Some screenshots of the first of our two sessions about Exiles. Many thanks to Marian Eide @marianeide13.bsky.social for being our guide! Catch the staged reading of the play by Elevator Repair Service on 3-17-25. joycesociety.com

In 1925, Joyce's only play, "Exiles," had its English-language debut, right here in NYC. To celebrate this centenary, we have commissioned Elevator Repair Sevice lately of "Gatz" and a bravura adaptation of "Ulysses," for a staged reading of the play on 3/17. www.joycesociety.org for details.
