There were three Seminole Indian Wars in Florida between 1817 and 1858 to force the original people off their lands by the US government for the sake of settlers. It's heartbreaking to learn my direct ancestor and cousin was part of that, but I'm just a genealogist learning about history #Genealogy

Family lore always said they knew Daniel Boone and that he took them across the Cumberland Gap into Kentucky.
