If You're At All Concerned About What I'm Doing Moving Forward, Read This

tl;dr Me make music only for hobby. Change focus to game dev from now on.
From now on, I'm done with the monthly routine of making songs for my YouTube channel. I've been doing this as a way to try to get more attention online, and potentially get hired for some projects, especially game projects, but it’s led to nothing. Back when by rare chance I’ve gotten over 70k views on 2 videos, it did get me some emails but the projects didn’t go anywhere, and my prospects of getting any work have been dry as a desert since. Not even a commission for a single song. It felt kinda pointless to keep making songs when it never led to anything meaningful happening. I make a song, it gets a couple hundred views, and then I’m just left there, empty, with no meaningful path in sight. A month-long one-night stand. I’m not fond of this pattern. I’m beginning to question if maybe some of the work I made was only meant to be experimental, and I only forced myself to finish them so I could show my worth to the world. Other people might think it’s shallow that I may take a careerist mindset when I create stuff. But my dream is to succeed one day, so I don’t have to worry about succeeding ever again. Create to work, work to create, so one day I can just create to create. That’s the only reason I like seeing the number in my bank account go up lol. I don’t want to have to stress about qualifying for one of those “important” high-paying jobs to afford rent, when the time arrives for me to need my own home. I think other people believe I have the potential to be a wealthy techbro (I keep being recommended to “work in AI” and I don’t understand what that means) just because they see me as being neurodivergent (which I’m pretty sure I am btw lol). Getting to the heart of the matter, my creativity is the only thing I believe in. But I’m going to take a different approach from now on. From now on, my focus is on game development. For the past few months, I’ve had a hunger for writing a satisfying story… and using the medium of video games to tell it I guess LOL So th…
