Oh, yeah. I have a group of about 10 films I put on while I draw. The familiarity with the films keeps me from being distracted by them, but the "noise" gives my brain a second thing to focus on. Drew three pieces Monday while 'watching' the first two THIN MAN films.

(I once auditioned for the Simon & Shuster Trek writing pool with an Enterprise short story that was Porthos heavy. Didn't get the gig. I can only assume it's because the selection team preferred Spot.)
