I'm sad to share that Jellybean Johnson, founding member and drummer of The Time, has passed away. He was an innovator of the Minneapolis Sound, appeared in 'Purple Rain,' and produced Janet Jackson's "Black Cat." He died suddenly Friday night at 69.

I didn’t comment on this when I first saw it, but aside from the obvious, many of these professions are those where Black women specifically over-index. The effect of reducing access to loans for these areas of study is 🤬🤬🤬
