I'm going to do a thread of all the references and context behind Bad Bunny's performance and what it means for Puerto Ricans to see this on the biggest stage.

The opening title screen is a street mural in Puerto Rico that comes to life with footballs as coconuts.

Follow along!

Yeah well I may not necessarily love picking up poop so I guess we're all gonna have to make some sacrifices.

Sadly the same is true for us fiction writers, directors & game designers whose dystopian visions come true almost as quickly as it takes to get them to market. There’s no satisfaction in being right - only in the hope that, one day, the world will find the courage & strength to right wrongs again.

James Cameron said that, in the future, all cinemas would show movies in 3D. Suddenly, TVs were coming with 3D glasses. Not anymore.

At Meta Connect last year, he was on stage launching his Avatar trailer on Quest. Soon after, Meta closed down its VR studios.

What if he’s the Titanic of new tech?
Any history of technology people know if there are other technologies that were touted as "here to stay" in the manner of generative AI that...didn't stay?
i guess worth looking into whether people were similarly convinced about other technologies in the past

I just watched ANNIVERSARY on Netflix for the second time (it gets better). Helmed by Polish director Jan Komasa, whose CORPUS CHRISTI is a brilliant look at political and religious fanaticism, this is an intense drama about how politics can turn a family apart. No spoilers. Watch it.

I remember playing this at the traveling arcade which used to come to my Belgian town with the circus each summer. Gotta hunt down the ROM. It wasn’t the best but the super scaler powered parallax effects were superb. Perhaps Guardian Heroes wouldn’t exist without it? A forgotten Yu Suzuki gem.

Star Fox CD thing:
Added Daytona mode!
The landmaster is swapped with the Hornet, and the BGM is replaced with one of the 4 songs from Daytona USA! We've been playing Daytona USA a lot lately, so we thought it'd be funny, lol.

The fact that Starmer sold our precious personal, health and defence (!) data to US technofascists - and on advice from a man he KNEW was still in touch with a convicted pedophile - is coming dangerously close to treason.
