It took Mindware’s Mikito Ichikawa aiding Nintendo and Sony (SCEI) et al. to revoke Sega’s patents on the viewpoint camera via his company’s 1991 releases Magical Shot and Star Wars: Attack of the Death Star. It's an indictment of the entertainment industry as well, because I'm fairly sure Sony (the producers of Dawson's Creek), WB (which aired it), Disney (which owned and aired Don't Trust the B*) & Paramount (which produced Varsity Blues) made money off of him & should have insured him for life.
