It took Mindware’s Mikito Ichikawa aiding Nintendo and Sony (SCEI) et al. to revoke Sega’s patents on the viewpoint camera via his company’s 1991 releases Magical Shot and Star Wars: Attack of the Death Star. It’s also why Indy 500, Scud Race and Daytona USA 2 renamed the V.R. Button to View Change!

It's an indictment of the entertainment industry as well, because I'm fairly sure Sony (the producers of Dawson's Creek), WB (which aired it), Disney (which owned and aired Don't Trust the B*) & Paramount (which produced Varsity Blues) made money off of him & should have insured him for life.

This is wonderful.

Thinking it wouldn’t be necessary if artists could still profit commercially from the success of our work.

But multi billion dollar corporations decided they’d like it all for free, thanks, to offer to the public for almost nothing.

Irish taxpayers will now subsidise that.

I agree that most superhero movies can be replaced by AI. That’s kind of what Scorsese has been warning us about.
