I probably should have put out a #projectmtv guide yesterday, but considering I queued a lot of pages with no idea of the link parameters at the time, I couldn't.

So, a page with each section linked.

The playlist is also embedded there. It's a lot.

Never heard of him, but by your description, he'd make a great modern-era Doctor.

Johnny Cash didn't switch costumes with Elton John on SNL just to have some asshat call him "deeply uncool." I hate to even share this but the ratio is nice.
Left: Johnny Cash wearing a pink feather boa, a sparkly gold ascot, and gold glasses with pink feathers at the temples.

Right: Elton John in a black cowboy hat and leather jacket over a plaid shirt.

Plans eventually changed, and looking at the timeline, I found someone who would have definitely been a more youthful and unconventional choice, and the funny thing is I could easily imagine him still doing the "Classic" Doctor roles today.

Embassy, the producer of his series, wanted 100 episodes of his show, Silver Spoons so it could have a full life in syndication, so the last eight episodes debuted on first-run syndication in 1986, the same year the series star, Joel Higgins, became the Seventh Doctor in live-action and animation.

NBC had to wait a while to get him because the show he was on was still in production, and he was contracted for at least four seasons and 100 episodes. Before the end of the fourth season of his series, NBC signed their star to be the new Doctor, but he also had to shoot eight additional episodes.

NBC, who had gained a minor ownership in the series that was produced and owned by Universal Television, initially wanted someone the network's target for the series knew who wouldn't be adverse to the bigger plans for the franchise, including the Saturday morning series, and they had just the guy.

Spoilers if you haven't read Part 4 of #DWUSAU, so you might want to read that if you haven't.

I knew that the Sixth Doctor would have been temporary because the actor portraying him, Dan Aykroyd, had other commitments in Hollywood, and the guy who would have replaced him had his own show on NBC.

Okay, I have to backtrack a bit.

I didn't exactly lie. The Seventh Doctor was in that video that I had linked previously nine months ago. The thing was before the queue posted, I had a creative spark of sorts & replaced him. Not that I hated the guy I picked, heavens no.

Just found someone new

Yep, totally set the mood for that era.

I'm not revealing the Sixth Doctor for #DWUSAU nor the Seventh yet.

But I will reveal this much.

The Seventh Doctor is in this video.

Man, #DWUSAU was a fun, fun project I did last year and the beginning of this year.

Essentially, it was a multipart take if Doctor Who was an American production instead of a British one. Fun stuff.

For you newcomers to my feed, see how it all began:

In my #DWUSAU project, Craig would have been my Tenth Doctor.

And I'm sure he would have had a blast in that alternate timeline.

I think I'm saying, "pretty sure you're wrong." But no idea what episode it's from. Season 3? (and thanks for the clip, Sitcompeople!)

And the rosebuds know to bloom in early May
Just as hate knows love's the cure
You can rest your mind assure
That I'll be loving you always...

Songs in the Key of Life, which is probably one of the greatest albums ever written and produced.

Just an incredible slate of songs and proof of Stevie's prowess as a writer and performer.

Don't know why I'm getting Spectrum ads on Twitch tonight.

They haven't completed the purchase of Cox.

Yet.

David Simon, creator of ‘The Wire’, being interviewed by Ari Shapiro (NPR)
SHAPIRO: OK, so you've spent your career creating television without Al, and I could imagine today you thinking, boy, I wish I had had that tool to solve those thorny problems...
SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

School dreams are the worst, especially when you're LONG past your school days. Dreaming that you missed some days, some classes, and being short of credits is wild.

It's also a sign that you feel incomplete in your adulthood and that you're being left behind in your day-to-day life. Dreams suck.
