I do. I don't like plugging it too much, and I never expect much from it.

Just gives me something to aim for in the foreseeable future while I'm being a caregiver. I keep myself busy in the meantime.

But it is nice to dream.

A few seconds ago, I saw a post where someone referred to a radio call-in show from the 1990s as a "radio podcast show."

Ladies, gentlemen, and enbys, this is the moment I truly realized that I am, as younger folks will kindly and repeatedly remind me, "an old" and at the point of no return.

Cool.

Neal Ardman was the original Head of the Retro Television Network (RTN) and continued to work at Luken during the time they got the rights to Classic Media library before leaving Luken and starting Broadcast Partners. I believe his Broadcast Partner was the one who sold He-Man and She-Ra to MeTV.

Universal Family Entertainment Network wasn't a thing.

It was a trade show branding for a pair of shows that often didn't even air together in the same market.

Bohbot Kids Network (BKN) was more of a thing than this was. And that was amazin'.
You could make a whole documentary with all of NBCU's attempts at kid blocks and networks

They didn't.

But let's be real, man.

A lot of channels tend to go all out on sizzle reels and promo images to hype the product and don't put on EVERYTHING they promise.

MeTV Toons has been around for about one and a half years and still hasn't premiered everything they hyped in 2024.

I don't think this intimidates criminals who are superstitious and cowardly lot. I think it'll make criminals ask, "Why is the Batman a sad old man now?"

A bit of a nitpick about that movie though. The film said that WYAH/CBN was in Virginia Beach when the Bakkers were there.

It was not.

It was actually in Portsmouth, VA. A small coastal town and birthplace of folks like Patton Oswalt, Wanda Sykes, Perry Ellis, and Missy Elliott.

Jessica Chastain earned that Oscar

A portion of this film took place in my part of the world in Hampton Roads, VA, where she & her husband took their puppet ministry to a small indie TV station, WYAH (now WGNT).
