My favorite instance of this was meeting a CalArts classmate of Pen Ward's just after the Adventure Time pilot went viral, and some one else there asked her if Pen "was high all the time," and she was already exhausted with giving an explanation that boiled down to "no, he's just like that."

Wish it was clear from the article how much remote work is deceptively inflating the average here. I may be at home more, but my social life has if anything improved since going remote since I'm not spent from pointless transit commutes nor worried about trying to get to bed early to catch transit.

It's wild that Tyler the Creator had absolutely savage bars about BoB & Hailey Williams due to this song, yet I feel like this being in the actual Wikipedia article is a deeper dig. Like, a fan wiki, sure, but this being in Wikipedia proper has gotta sting more than a throwaway diss.

Here's the thing: the problem here isn't that NVIDIA is doing circular accounting (necessarily), it's that receivables are growing and so is inventory, which makes people worried things are being shipped without payment. It could be fine!

I mean, it'd be even funnier if they didn't even realize they were doing circular accounting with all of these deals, so this was totally sincere on their part. It would really underline how much this is run by people who are way out of their depth given the scale of everything they're involved in.

It is wild to me that the largest company on the stock market, one with such incredible prestige and a huge PR team got dog-walked here. Why would you EVER give this ANY oxygen? Now everybody is asking whether NVIDIA is like Enron! This didn't help at all!

Finished this & it's so damning how Disney Parks operate very similarly to the way many tech companies operate now: here's a big, deceptive demonstration that we likely know we won't ship to customers, or even if we do, there's zero assurances it'll be as promised or be supported in the long term.

Also, consider spatchcocking the turkey, especially if you have a convection oven. It takes work, but it cooks faster (or gives a chance for your ill-thawed bird to cook more evenly,) and the result is juicy and delicious. Just get ready to put your whole weight on that bird, maybe even cleaver it:
