Broadview’s protest curfew is now in effect. Protests in the village of the ICE facility are not allowed until tomorrow at 9 am. Police just warned protesters that if they attempt to cross the street they will be arrested.

It’s quiet outside of the Broadview ICE facility right now. Law enforcement has a presence out here. At least 8 cars. We expect protests today and tomorrow. Fridays and Saturdays have seen the most activity.

Illinois State Police have forced protesters back away from the street and sidewalk near the Broadview, Illinois ICE facility. Police in riot gear have arrived. This force was in response to protesters playing music and dancing in the street.

Things have settled down. Now protesters are yelling “shame” each time police allow an ICE van to pass into the Broadview, Illinois facility.

A group of more than 100 are holding a prayer service a block from the Broadview, Illinois ICE facility. Their prayers are dedicated to an end of ICE raids in the area.

More people are starting to gather. Protesters are avoiding the designated "protest areas" and are going to a different entrance to the facility. State and village police are trying to make it difficult for protesters to block the street.

Protesters had started to gather at the eastern approach to the Broadview, Illinois ICE facility. In response, authorities parked two public works trucks to block the path of demonstrators.

This is the scene outside of the Broadview, Illinois ICE facility where protests are scheduled to begin in about half an hour. It’s fairly quiet with a noticeable police presence. Police have attempted to set up designated protest areas away from the facility.

An anti-ICE protest is growing in downtown Chicago in the shadow of the Trump tower. Thousands are out on a Tuesday to denounce the violence and profiling ICE officers have carried out on the community.

Union President Pat Raes says the nurses are ready to strike if need be. But she says she would rather be working hand in hand with the hospital to fight back against federal attacks on Medicare and Medicaid.

Nurses at UnityPoint Health Meriter in Madison, WI are holding a strike-ready rally as they negotiate a new contract. The nurses are unionized with @seiu.org. They have been negotiating since January.

Midwest Perishable Industries in Madison, WI will permanently close by next week and layoff 50 people after the business failed to get additional credit. It’s unclear from this WARN filed with the state why the business was only negotiating with a single creditor.

An appeals court is allowing NLRB Member Gwynne Wilcox to return to her role after Trump tried to fire her. This will give the NLRB the quorum it needs to again start voting to certify new union elections … until there is an appeal to the Supreme Court. apnews.com/article/trum...

Alder Sabrina Madison is supporting the Teamsters in a resolution at the city.

I asked if they have more political allies. They say they have reached out to more alders and county leaders. If they don’t hear back they will organize against those electeds.
