Goal #1 = free-kick after Saka carried central
Goal #2 = free-kick after Saka carried central
Goal #3 = Merino goal after Rice+MLS got it central

"Risky" against some of the most deadly transition attackers of all-time. But you gotta get it in dangerous places to dangerous things.

Saliba Califiori Rice MLS Nwaneri is such a nuts future central unit lol. Insane press resistance and "moments" generation

Tel on loan would be a decent move. Definitely overlaps profile wise with Martinelli but there's nothing wrong with adding a new set of legs given our situation.

Still not sure how I feel about the Nypan deal (low cost so w/e) but it's crazy that we might finally have our midfield rebuild in the kitchen with Zubimendi / MLS Nwaneri / Dowman. How very odd that the Arsenal of say, 2027, might be so young after all that discourse about youth.

Bayern Munich.
If you’re Darwin Nunez, which club’s playing style do you think suits you & be looking to join?

In my opinion, this is Artetaese for "I have concerns with him off the ball".

If Arsenal need better 1v1 and creation at LW, that should naturally should lead to a question about prioritizing scoring ability in those interiors. Rice is a good finisher but it's not his true instinct. Ødegaard can finish but only under very specific situations / angles.

It's inexcusable and I remember how much of the genius football world blamed it on Rice in the 6 and the absence of Partey. Football world is starting to see that Arsenal simply don't want to take any risks centrally, build everything through the wings, prioritized short passing this is instruction.
Arsenal have created an open play expected goal in one of their last eight Premier League matches. Across the season as a whole it's three of 15.

They rank 13th in the Premier League for open play xG.

Pernell Whitaker was such an interesting athlete. Orthodox unorthodoxy, a southpaw, unreal anticipation and upper body flexibility. Has there ever been a more confusing fighter?

Since no one is reading my posts on here, this is who Dowman reminds me of most from the little I've watched.

I haven't watched Spurs in a few weeks, but I'm curious if they're collapsing physically. Something that can definitely happen against this Bournemouth team. One of the things I've always doubted about the Ange model is the insane intensity demanded at all times. Unsustainable w/ schedule.

#UncFriday Observation: a lot of the discourse around Gabriel Martinelli and Darwin Nunez the last two years has made me miss the days when forwards would have time and opportunity to mature at smaller clubs in Italy Germany and Spain before the microscope fell on them.

Baleba is one of those players who doesn't remind me of one player but like 5 different players. That's always a good sign.

Getting real sick of Salah's shit. "Oh look I'm 32 and the best player in the world." Grow up.

The team is becoming more and more reliant on Maverick Moments from our FBs to break stalemates. Timber today tried a lot of problem-solving.
I rewatched West Ham and I gather that the general sentiment was that Calafiori was a weak link — and he did make a mistake or two, and didn't track that run, which is a Thing. But I think his style of floating in/around the pivot and carrying/line-cutting/impatience is quickly becoming integral

On the ball, William Saliba is the best CB arsenal have ever had. He hasn't quite tapped into it fully but how he works possession play is something I haven't seen from too many CBs. If he can add a little more ambition to his passing he will become something scary.

They say the #6 represents the mind of a team. I think a lot about that when I watch Arsenal.

United doing a decent job of blocking out central access so far. Haven't watched any of their other games with Amorim yet.

It's crazy he's this good and he still could and will probably improve in aspects of his passing. Never seen a player improve like him YoY
To qualify: We have him 1st in PL for Pass OBV (inc. set pieces): 0.27 per 90 & 2nd in the league for Dribble & Carry OBV: 0.34 per 90 (behind Savio; Grealish & Doku also show well here on small minutes).
The only PL player we have exceeding 0.2 for both in a full season is De Bruyne 2016-17

Thoughts on Olabe: seems like a talented professional with a record of delivering in terms of punching above weight, but I do value breadth of experience heavily in life and I have doubts about how our targets and players overlap. Potential echo chamber worries me
