And we were just talking about this recently - our government is opening up markets and our businesses have to grab those opportunities. These businesses have done just that and they will be stronger and better for it.

#Canada this is beautiful. It’s music. It’s poetry. It’s our goal coming to life - to double non-US trade. And don’t forget that there are a lot of government supports available to help you pivot to new markets. I am so proud of these businesses. #FromRelianceToResilience

This is what's possible when you think long-term, and not just shareholders and the next quarter's profits.
You can't prove received wisdom wrong if you don't try... and you've got to give China credit for not being afraid to try. A step on the way to serious reduction of shipping emissions by 2050? Or an expensive experiment with niche coastal uses? Time will tell!

USA has been subject to domestic propaganda for decades and decades.
Growing up in the ’70s and ’80s, I now see how much propaganda we absorbed “best country in the world,” better than everyone else. We were fed American exceptionalism. Accepting reality instead of myth is a hard and heavy lift for many Americans 😮‍💨

Otherwise one way or another they’ll deal with Trump and they’ll show up saying “America’s back baby!", shower us with insincere apologies and expect us to welcome them back AND to be empathic about how much *they* suffered while thinking *we* overreacted.
