2026 writing goals:

- give novel #1 a final pass through & start querying agents
- figure out the structure of novel #2 & try to have a first draft done by the end of 2026
- write at least two poems every week
- work on some longer (4-6k word) short stories

If the last place I taught had this rule, I would have been suspended because a student couldn't find the right classroom & complained to my department that I must have secretly moved the entire class to a different room.
From the Oklahoma U student paper: the school is now saying it will automatically suspend faculty (with pay) in response to student complaints
