And all the #Autistic women out there, both diagnosed and self-diagnosed, who have been called weird and awkward more than once, keep being your lovely selves and keep asking the hard questions and telling the truth. We need honesty and acceptance more than anything else these days. ♥

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.
Probably the most important perspective on the "profound autism" debate I've read to date. Because it's written by a disabled autistic man who would absolutely qualify for the diagnosis if it were ever made into a thing.
My list fluctuates between 16 and 22, depending on whether they are raw, cooked, or steamed. 🫣 At the top, liver (kidneys should be there, too. It's my #2 most hated one.) 🤢 And many to which I'm allergic are not even on this list.

How about you? How many you got?

#Autism sensory overload.
I got 9. What about you? 🤔

Liver... 🤢
I needed a laughter. This took care of that. 😂
1:30 am, making it Caturday.
For me it was mostly certain fabrics, some food textures, food allergies (Yes, you read that right.) I was told to "suck it up" and to not be a whimp.

Things we can change: Too many autistic people learn—often quite early in life—that they have no choice other than to submit to discomforts, and also people in their lives may not even register or believe that their distress is real. At TPGA:

Autism Checklist of DOOM
Our autism checklist of doom is meant to help people the kinds of things that may upset an autistic person, ones that aren't always obvious.

Gaslight is the #1 weapon in a narcissist's arsenal.
"I have the biggest crowds. Nobody has bigger crowds than me." Every time I hear him say such things I remember a quote from GoT: "A man who says "I Am The King!" is no king."

In my case, I'll likely first complain about the [12 items or] "less" because it should actually be "fewer." That always gets the best of me. 🤦‍♂️

I'm not American, but I can't look at pictures of the mutilation of the White House and grounds. Worse crimes are being committed, but it's so symbolic of his total lack of respect for America, its history, and traditions. He is literally dismantling the very fabric of the country, brick by brick.
Everyone is like "oh yeah Neurodivergence <3" until they meet an Autistic person that doesn't fit their preconception of Autism and then it's fuck you actually

FYI :“Destruction of federal property is a federal crime. 18 U.S. Code § 1361 defines the crime as willfully injuring or committing any depredation against U.S. government property. If the damage exceeds $1k it is a felony with a fine, up to ten years in prison or both.”

Awaiting law enforcement.
Those images of the White House partially demolished breaks my heart. That's our House, not his.
At least I can still afford ibuprofen for the headaches. But likely not for much longer at this rate.
But he's making plans to bring beef from Argentina. So... no tariffs on Argentine beef then? While ranchers and farmers here for bankrupt?

These days I'm so confused wiyh everything that my head hurts 24/7.
"Qu'ils mangent de la brioche." Only that at home, we can barely afford a baguette as it is, even less a brioche.
I can't afford to make our home ADA. But my tax money is paying to remodel the White House for a ballroom. What am I missing here? 🤯
