Never a pen. I’m not even sure he touched him.

Right? It was hearing The Sofa on the radio that made me pay attention and then our daughter bought me their CD for the car, and now I am deep in listening to everything!

The Sofa is an absolute all-timer. Love it. But their early albums are all bangers, too.

OK, so who dropped the ball on telling me how much I would love Wolf Alice? How did this happen?

I thought they did. They definitely had a terse exchange of words. Leven didn’t look happy.

We don’t guarantee reviews because all we’re doing is providing the book with visibility to reviewers. Whether they choose to read and review then is down to the book/cover/blurb. We’re not selling reviews, we’re just making it easier for you to be seen by as many reviewers as possible.

You can sign up for both an author and a reviewer account, yes. Only reviewers can see the library and download books, and only authors can upload books.

I love this entire conversation! 😆

Sign up as you, and then list fantasy faction as one of your review locations in the reviewer profile. (But given I know all about your reviewing, I’m confident you’ll be approved! ;) )

It’s a paid submission service. The idea is to streamline submitting books to reviewers for authors and to make it easier for reviewers to find new books they want to read. That’s it! :) You could spend the time on it yourself, or you could do it through BookMatch.

If it’s not for you that’s absolutely fine, but as I say in the video on site, the objective is to save authors time and do a job for them that they *could* theoretically do themselves if they can / want to invest the time to do it themselves.

Well, here’s the thinking behind the whole project. A number of these things have been tried before on a free/volunteer basis, and they have died because nobody was maintaining or promoting them. I’ve already spent a year and more than 4 figures developing this, and there are ongoing costs to

running any website / business. I expect to be putting in a significant number of hours on a regular basis keeping on top of reviewer signups, developing the site etc. (I’ve also genuinely had people say it’s too cheap!) So I’m trying to find the balance of affordable and sustainable.

That’s an interesting point, and as I’ve said elsewhere, I’m open to conversations with anyone who finds they would struggle to afford it for whatever reason. If the exchange rate makes it expensive, we can look at how to make it affordable. It’s designed to be both affordable and sustainable.

That’s an interesting question, and one I’ve been thinking about. If there’s an appetite for indie publisher accounts, we can look into that.

Absolutely! I expect there to be a lot of those. :) You’ll have two different accounts/logins because only reviewers can see the library and only authors can submit books.
