Obsidian 1.11.0 (early access) introduces widgets and a new mobile design.

You can now instantly access Obsidian from your lock screen, home screen, control center, Shortcuts, and Siri.

The new design gives more space to your notes, and helps you quickly navigate your vault.

Beware Boox's latest 4.1.1 Firmware. My Boox Note Air4 C now has a glitchy screen where the whole thing or half of it is covered by some digital looking pattern. Appears after 1 min delay of use and other random times... :/ It's been a frustrating past year of bad software and bugs.

Yeesh, my namecheap .com is now $18.68/yr?? I guess I need to pay attention and see what options are out there, unless that is the norm now…

Raskin: We are a big tent. We must be a huge, vast tent. I say this is a party that’s got room for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she wants to come over.

Offloading from iCloud is so difficult. Exporting photos errors out all the time and iMessage isn’t downloading everything automatically. I think it is in my phone backup but we’ll see. At this point just a reason to get out and stay off cloud.

This seems like it could be cool if you're free Thursday/Friday during the morning-early afternoon in Brooklyn and transit stuff excites you (I was planning on going and realized it was a weekday event 🙁) www.mta.info/article/new-...

In the process of dropping iCloud+. Way to go, Tim—I'd been a hardcore Apple user my whole adulthood. Moving out 86k photos, custom domain email…probably need cal support too. New cute lil 4TB SSD drive has me excited—suffered with HDD's way too long! Next up, figuring out *where* to host my email.

Probably already should’ve but deleting app and privatizing my videos. Not like they’ll notice me, but bleh.

Sigh, I was setting up new phone and freaked I would lose my number because Visible hid that I can *email* my 2FA code. Instead they ONLY showed that I can text it to my number, which I don't have access too—hence the new phone. What the heck.

@support.bsky.team Hello! Rando request: the iPhone app on the iPad works well enough for me but when using trackpad, I can’t scroll in a profile when the cursor is above the Posts area. Obviously it’s not *for* iPad but if there were a simple tweak it’d be handy in meantime w/ no iPad app—Thx! 🙂

I signed up for the new Covid vaccination. Hochul signed an executive order opening it up to all. We’ll see if they’re setup and clear about state mandated instructions this Friday when I go!

I've now gotten a couple robo voicemails with a tiny cough thrown into the middle of it to sell its humanity. Well done, lil bot. The singularity is near!

I biked a good 22 miles on Saturday from Park Slope to Ft Greene to Queens and back. Wish I'd fixed my bike up a long time ago since I roam less with Citibike, but happy to be soaking up the good weather now ♥️ #bikeNYC www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8YC...

Obsidian → Leaflet plugin for mapping (finally getting the hang of it), Bases feature for quickly dropping in meta data across location, adding photos from trips to make it a little nostalgic journal. I'm completely addicted.

It's been a minute, but feel like I don't know of any design events/meetups anymore around NYC. CreativeMornings/NY, but any UX/Product Design focused ones happen on any regular basis?

Downgraded from iOS 26 beta hoping less space gets eaten up by the OS. Been constantly having to make room. Why'd I get the base storage?!! Rookie mistakes. I may need to swap phones after next month's new phone when prices shuffled around.

Today we learned Andrew Cuomo is directly coordinating with Donald Trump, even as this President sends masked agents to rip our neighbors off the streets and guts the social services so many New Yorkers rely on.

It’s disqualifying and a betrayal of our city.
