Beware Boox's latest 4.1.1 Firmware. My Boox Note Air4 C now has a glitchy screen where the whole thing or half of it is covered by some digital looking pattern. Appears after 1 min delay of use and other random times... :/ It's been a frustrating past year of bad software and bugs.

iCloud+ features, or SSO as a scam. Most are apps I just tried, others like GoodNotes mean I lose my lifetime GoodNotes 5 grandfathering. Because GN can’t manage that account or allow me to change the email. 😑

Oops! Finally missed day after deciding to do it in evening and forgetting. 115 days feels pretty good. The idea of extending makes sense to keep you hooked and have some buffer, but a lil break would be good for me.

Sigh, I was setting up new phone and freaked I would lose my number because Visible hid that I can *email* my 2FA code. Instead they ONLY showed that I can text it to my number, which I don't have access too—hence the new phone. What the heck.

Obsidian → Leaflet plugin for mapping (finally getting the hang of it), Bases feature for quickly dropping in meta data across location, adding photos from trips to make it a little nostalgic journal. I'm completely addicted.

Changing up my morning routine and getting intrigued by the Duolingo streak feature from a podcast led to 60 days of French lessons! 🇫🇷 Still hard, but fun! hopefully will make visiting again one day a little easier in getting around and not having to constantly ask «parlez-vous anglais?»

After some research, a visit to Lowes for P-Clamps, and giving up my my local bike shop for another one, I finally was able to get a bike rack installed. Very happy about this after making it around lots of barriers. 🚲✨

Stupid AI was wrong, making me think I needed to backup and reset all the files I'd added in order to add 2nd drive. I fortunately figured it out and after ~24 hours, I got it to switch from 1 Drive using "SHR with *no data* protection" to "SHR with data protection for 1-drive fault tolerance". 🙌

I've been searching a bit this week for Instagram alternative options and found another Pixelfed server @ pixey.org that allowed me (after my account existed for 1 day) to *try to* import. We'll see if it does it! Have to leave their page open for it to work apparently.
