Thanks for the reminder!

I don't usually pay attention to vehicle ads on teevee, but the new Chevy commercial made me look. They brought back the old "See the USA in your Chevrolet" jingle!

Brooke Lee is the singer, and she's good.

Mrs. Lungs, the CFO at Stately Moffitt Manor, did the preliminary tax work at the kichen table yesterday. I'm glad to have a spouse as organized as she is.

The only faith leaders I have any faith in are those who have stood with us from the start.
Minnesota Star Tribune interviews with denomination leaders, churchgoers and former churchgoers in the wake of Operation Metro Surge found that while support remains strong for the president, cracks in the alliance have emerged.
Evangelicals wrestle with faith and politics as ICE surge continues in Minnesota
Small cracks may be emerging in a denomination known for its staunch support of MAGA.

To hell with Minneapolis, give the Nobel Peace Prize to this woman.
“Renee was not the first person killed, and she was not the last,” Becca Good said. “You know my wife’s name and you know Alex’s name, but there are many others in this city being harmed that you don’t know — their families are hurting just like mine, even if they don’t look like mine.”
Renee Good's partner addresses Minneapolis immigration crackdown one month after killing
Becca Good has seldom spoken out since Renee Good was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis on Jan. 7.

A study in contrasts in today's images of the Resistance. A memorial gathering in Powderhorn Park is both somber and moving, a Dildo Deluge at the Whimple ends in arrests and blood as local cops do the buttkicking this time.

Part of the reason the Olympics games are still worth watching, for all their many flaws and faults, are the upsets that change the script at the last minute.

That's one hell of an image, Peggy.
Today we gathered together in ceremony to honor the life of Renee Good and remember the lives of others taken by ICE.

“Our love for each other will carry us through.”

We are everywhere, and we are just getting started.

I wish I had known about this when we made our first visit to Finland last fall. Those mysterious round structures are radomes, designed to house and protect radar units. I grew up a couple of miles from one in Indianapolis.
The abandoned Finland Air Force Station in Finland, Minn., is visited by urban explorers because it looks like a ghost town. But it was once a key spot that sat between the USSR and potential targets of industrial America.

I had not checked in on FB in a long time. Today I saw that an old classmate's spouse had died, my friend in Utah has a new MN state flag, and some random photo of a woman w/o a top on. 😳

As an election judge and a concerned citizen, I follow this sort of news closely. Will we have free & fair elections this year? Yes, I believe we will. But voters better show up this time.
