I was very impressed that my son, 4 and a few days old, was instantly able to identify and avoid all the chocolate he was offered (dairy allergy). Made for some awkward porches when he just stared at the bowl without taking anything, but that’s coaching, that’s on me.

My son finally got to come home yesterday after a month in the hospital for high-dose chemo, bone marrow transplant, and 20+ days in isolation for a bacterial colonization.
We’re back at the hospital for routine labs and this Halloween treat has caused a crashout due to his dairy allergy.

Reading back through the feed, it seems I’m glad I was officiating a wedding and completely missed the Michigan game in a way I don’t think I’ve managed since the Friday night game in Minnesota.

My son is in the hospital for 4 weeks for a bone marrow auto-transplant, been inpatient about 50 days since April. He’s locked on to the universal nurse question, “can I get you anything else?” when leaving, and is now asking for “cars” a dozen times a day. Gonna clean this place out of Hot Wheels.
