Haven’t been able to get this passage from Rebecca Solnit’s “The Loneliness of Donald Trump,” off my mind since Obama in avoidant attention masked his way through T*ump’s conversational bids at President Carter’s service, after which T*ump said of Obama, ‘I think he likes me.’
It’s personally been so entertaining reading men lose full minds over this recently.

It’s all spoliation, they don’t care we know, they just don’t want us to see the torture and the cannibalism. (Which many Americans, of course, still practice in a monthly, sometimes weekly, ritual functionally identical to headhunting rituals in Dayak tribes who live in the Borneo-Sarawak jungle.)

If you work in journalism: you cannot use machine learning to upscale a photo and still be telling the truth. It WILL lie, even if you don't intend to tell one.

It can only do what it does by inventing details where none exist, which means it will inherently be misrepresenting reality.
Unfriendly reminder, AI is being used to destroy trust. Do not normalize the use of AI. AI can not reliably enhance videos or low-quality images.

This is the quiet replacement of reality. Do not let this be normalized.

Friendly reminder that over the last 20 years mass shootings are down 22% and school shootings 31% in 2025, per the Gun Violence Archive and the K-12 School Shooting Database. We’ve experienced 22 mass shootings in January when a typical American January sees approx 110 to 170.

No civilized society kills its own citizens, even the worst, and a thriving society interested in progress fights for the rights of its most oppressed. It’s the basic work of being a citizen, wherever we are, because our bodies are always on the line.

Lived in Bangkok in 1976, the year we adopted my sister. Probably shouldn’tve been on surveillance detection routes at 5, but it was a family business and I bore witness. My father worked out of the school. I remember him turn from his desk and say, “You won’t remember this,” so I paid attention.

A revolution to preserve human dignity doesn’t even need to be successful because it’s an existential issue. The only thing it needs is the clarity that says, we will no longer be what abusive authority asks us to be and we will not become what it asks us to become.

Minneapolis is my American hometown and I know those sidewalks and homes, so her murder is a special type of heartbreak. Rest in peace, Renee Nicole Good, 37, of Minneapolis. We all lost an ally. She won’t be forgotten.

The fragility is bananas. The illusion of white supremacy and the lengths white supremacy goes to sustain that illusion is the actual story. The issue’s fundamentally rooted in mask and deception.

Anyway lol

Officially ‘Cloud Dancer.’ Never mind folks who tattoo my faith systems on their bodies as souvenirs, the Native energy here is nuts. What is missing from the non-melaninated psyche that won’t simply inhabit itself? Jesus, take racism away, are you good? Are you kind? Do you uplift w/o lowering?

“Do I think the voice in my head is a deity? No, I don’t.”

“Not deity, I mean God.”

is a real interaction I had.

I wake up screaming like everybody else and, granted, there’s a lot going on in my head, but ftr, my inner voice is mostly James Earl Jones telling me he doesn’t have to like me.

What’s uncanny is that their real life selves are so much deeper in uncanny valley than their amusing robot selves.

Maybe it’s coincidence, probably not. What fundamental essential piece of the self is absent, and what systems forbid its development, to crave and wear other identity so much.

Thought this was my HS copy of Thoreau, but checked and it’s actually my dad’s 1960 schoolbook, signature of ownership inside 😮

Anyway, Thoreau understood: Inaction is consent, and live your life in such a way. That’s the line. Not saying the generals’ll arrest anyone, but here’s hoping #booksky

That’s because it was case officer meeting an asset to exchange information and Alaska was the safe house.
