Can't remember if I shared this here, but here's the first 2 minutes of Stranger & The Strange, my weird west animated short I'm working on in my off hours.

I can’t go to the grocery store alone right now because ICE is racially profiling and abducting people who aren’t white
Despite Trump’s promises, grocery prices are still rising fast. Families can’t afford this… when is he going to get serious about lowering costs?

Makes sense, typing in shit and constantly regenerating footage until it's eventually good isn't actually fun or challenging.

When you remove the entire process, you lose all reason to create stuff.
Good news everyone.

I think one of the most useless critiques of screenwriting is "real people don't talk like that"

Yeah dude, "realistic" dialogue isn't always the goal

The tech industry is clearly just filled with morons who got lucky but convinced people with money that they're geniuses.

Because the people with money are also morons who got lucky.

the skills that go into creativity are trade/labor skills. the same metrics that you learn carpentry or cooking apply to drawing or singing or acting.

anyone can learn them. anyone can gain experience with them. everyone should be paid for them.
My grievance with the notion of talent is how much it disempowers individuals and how deterministic it is — how it causes most to believe that there is an age limit to learning and developing skills, and most importantly, that it’s not as worthy of trying as a result

Only losers feel a need to force people to do and say whatever they want.

Well-adjusted people don't desperately need the external validation of feeling like they need to have power over other people.

Only pathetic, impotent people crave it.
Again it is something that people in previous eras have commented on but I still find it just astonishing to witness in my own: fascism is somehow the natural ideology of loser men, just all of our most pathetic and contemptible instincts rendered into a worldview.
imagine letting these people run anything more consequential than a lemonade stand

Newsom is, at best, a coward who will shrivel up the moment he's challenged.

Also: nobody who hosts a podcast should be president, we might need to enshrine that in law

The "doesn't everybody use it for research" thing is deeply stupid, but to be clear:

1. This is the documentary director speaking

2. That final line is them saying that ChatGPT couldn't handle 19 characters, not that you need it.

A LOT of people are not actually reading what's written.

Something they maybe haven't considered: if ANY action taken to defy them is going to be punished just as severely, what's stopping people from just doing what they REALLY want to do?

This will likely embolden people more than anything.

Not that I'm complaining.
How is this not inciting violence?

Why must they remind ICE that they have immunity?

One of their agents just shot a killed a woman in broad daylight and they’re effectively telling them to go ahead and do whatever they want because they’re above the law.

Be safe Minneapolis.

Gotta celebrate the wins
House Democrats just DEFEATED a Republican bill to let employers deny overtime pay or minimum wage to workers if they classify time worked as "job training" or "education."

6 Republicans joined us and the vote failed; GOP leaders then cancelled votes on two more anti-labor bills.

I've no investment in Stranger Things or the Duffer Brothers, but it seems fairly dubious that this shows ChatGPT tabs at all.

Tiny gray blobs in browser tabs aren't really indicative of anything.

Newsom is indeed the governor, but there's only so much he can do stop a ballot initiative like this. If the initiative garners the needed ~875k signatures to get on the ballot, and then wins majority approval in November, it will be policy (barring any legal challenges.)
