It's not difficult for most things beyond learning new keybindings.

However, Fusion as a replacement for After FX takes A LOT of getting used to. Especially if you don't have any experience with node-based workflows.

If they get to decide how some people get to dress and who to be, they now get to decide that for EVERYONE.

It should be enough that just some people would have their rights restricted, but it's also always important to keep in mind that everyone's rights are also your rights.

The fact is: trans rights are EVERYONE'S rights.

Many of the same people fighting most vigorously against trans rights would also happily demand that women can no longer wear pants instead of skirts or dresses if they could get away with it.

Nobody gets to tell you what to wear or who to be.

Their framing demands you have a "good excuse" for expressing your gender, but that framing is bullshit.

People don't need an excuse. They don't need to justify it.

The idea that people must justify diverting from trivial cultural norms is absurd when you break it down.

Absolutely nothing. Gender expression STILL should not be restricted in that case, because it harms no one to allow people to live happily as their gender.

I don't even despise modern AC games, they just don't have any thematic bite to them anymore in addition to refusing to really evolve the gameplay in any meaningful way.

That sounds like the kind of game I would have at least given a shot, had it been executed well.

But the series lost its way a long time ago. It's just a fun little history simulator now.

Which is also neat, but not the same in terms of actually trying to tell a story with a point to it.

Then AC2 portrayed the Catholic church as a corrupt institution.

Hell I don't like AC3 very much but it made it VERY clear that the American Revolutionaries only fought for SOME people's rights and happily fucked over indigenous people.

I've spent too much of this week trying to make it so that I can edit a project without it freezing for at least half a minute every single time I zoom in and out in the timeline.

I can't get into my workflow if I'm being stopped every time I try to look at anything closely.

I've been and continue to be a pretty big proponent of Davinci Resolve, but Resolve 20 has been ridiculously unstable for me and many others.

I'd much rather have less frequent updates than unstable updates.

I'm in the camp of people who feel life being finite gives it meaning, as bittersweet as that is. Eternal life is its own version of hell at a certain point.

Reasonable people will disagree, though. That said the ending may get some folks thinking about it in ways they maybe haven't before.

Makoto Yukimura was worried that Vinland Saga's farming arc and "I have no enemies" moment was a gamble that readers wouldn't like. I told him about the J. Cole meme from the Kendrick Lamar and Drake rap beef. This is how he reacted.

If “I have no enemies” has become a meme and people remember it, then maybe people will understand what I’m really trying to say through the story, which is that humans are immature, but we can mature. To become mature is to become kind. This is the foundation of what I’m trying to say, but it really has to be much shorter for people to remember. But it does give me hope that people remember these short phrases as memes. Then, one day, it will click in their mind what I was trying to really say in the first place.
