Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

Lawyers can't reach clients in ICE detention. I've heard it anecdotally, but scale of issue is horrifying.

Bloomberg Law is a legal trade pub so many may miss this. Screenshot from their CA newsletter summarizes "bleak" situation for justice and rule of law.

Another totally unnecessary tragedy. These masked, armed, and untrained ICE agents are totally out of control and making Minneapolis less safe.

This has all gone too far, and the President needs to put an end to this. Get ICE out of Minneapolis.

I told the White House the state must lead the investigation.

Let state investigators secure justice. As we process the scene, stay peaceful and give them space.

The State has the personnel to keep people safe – federal agents must not obstruct our ability to do so.

Wisconsin stands with Minnesota.
I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening.

The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.

I am watching what is happening in Minneapolis on Ali Velshi and one of the ICE officers (off camera) literally says, “It’s like Call of Duty. Pretty cool huh?” as they shoot whatever it is they are shooting. Agents walking around, guns unholstered for no reason. This is insanity

We stand with Minnesota today and every single day. ICE is terrorizing our communities. We must call our members of Congress and urge them to stop funding ICE.

Every eligible Wisconsinite should have the opportunity to cast their ballot, and if they follow all of the rules, then their vote should count just like everyone else’s. It's pretty simple.

Wisconsinites who choose to vote absentee are not second-class citizens, and I cannot and will not accept the suggestion that they have any fewer rights or that their vote counts any less than a Wisconsinite who chooses to cast their ballot in-person on Election Day.
