Knowing them, I wouldn't be surprised. It would also be ironic, since from what I've heard, the short is meant to rip on AI & art theft in general, which makes sense given the teaser shows the Turtles being dismayed at seeing distorted versions of themselves marketed for profit without their consent

Saying that “AI will never have that ‘human essence’” negates everything else he says.
This isn’t like the invention of the digital camera or a CD. GenAI can’t, and will never be able to, make something out of nothing
