Derin gets blighted with his city. It’s killing him, they’ll all know it but they never speak of it. He carries a vial of poison on him at all times. He doesn’t want to hurt anybody.
He’s in Minrathous in the end, fighting, when the blight is purged. Maybe it’ll help. Maybe he opens the vial first.
