It has been a while, but I am back with a new paper!

Our latest study explores how romantic narratives shape the way we see victims of intimate partner violence when the narrative includes love.

When you are a criminologist, watching a true crime documentary is work.

So I thought I ask again, as there are way more people here.

Does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on with Psychology, Crime and Law journal? My patience dried up after 9 months of under review status and copy-paste replies from their administration. Did you have the same experience?

Is anyone here participating at the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences annual meeting in Denver, Colorado this year?

Friday 13th I did defend my Ph.D.
Honestly, it was best day of my life.
I have worked for this moment for so damn long, it seems a bit surreal.
But at the same time, I can't recall any moment of my life that I am more aware of. I kinda feel like I remember every word I have said that day!

So my Ph.D. defence is in 13 days and I am getting irrationally excited. Me exited equals me spending hours on doing custom made graphic for my presentation and then 6 hours of applying animations.
Here is how I decided to depict cue-utilization hypothesis. Hope Polish does not freak you out.

I don't see movie critics mention that the new #Joker movie was heavily inspired by Titicut Follies. It offers a grim insight into the dark ages of psychiatry, psychology, and the penitentiary system. Todd #Phillips even recreated some motifs almost exactly from the documentary. Jeepers Creepers!

I can't believe I was today years old when I finished reading 'My Dark Places' by James Ellroy. It did blew my mind.
Also, the last time I had to check like every 20th word in Dictionary was probably around 2005.

#PsychLaw folks, any intel on what's going on with Psychology, Crime & Law? Are they dealing with some monumental disaster? They used to reject my papers within a month—now I’ve been waiting over six months for reviews.
Is it me or them? 🤷🏻‍♀️

On a 7-point Likert-type scale, where 1 is "not at all" and 7 is "totally," how lame is it to create meme jokes for Intro to Statistics?

I’ve started another round of my workshop on polygraph testing today, and it felt like the perfect occasion to share one of my favorite AI-generated graphics!

There are five groups of students, each with its own patron—crucial for their final assignment.

I dare you to guess why!

🕵🏻‍♀️My new study has just been published!

Topic: How cognitive styles impact eyewitness testimony.

🤖Reflectives gave more detailed testimony, regardless of context.

💥Impulsives showed poorer recollection for criminal scenes.

Is there any starting pack for #PsychologyAndLaw, #ForensicPsychology and/or #Criminology researchers?
It would super helpful to find peers, especially in #EyewitnessTestimony!
