One of Vanillaware's co-founders (Takehiro Shiga) drew this cool illustration depicting the structure of Chunsoft's most famous sound novels. This was posted around the time 13 Sentinels was entering production, so the devs may have been studying these sound novels while conceptualizing the game.

Last year, I was able to explore Nippon Animation where they gave me unfettered access to the studio, including work on an episode with Chibi Maruko-chan, interviewing animation veterans, opening up film cannisters, and browsing Miyazaki-original drawings.
The studio that fostered talents like Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata and brought to life Anne of Green Gables, Future Boy Conan, and more opened its doors to offer ANN a tour through where the magic is made.

i think the biggest reason why fool night cuts so deep for me is the fact that it never forgets the trauma of poverty. the rationing of food, the exhaustion, the helplessness, the relationship between parent and child, it never lets you forget it. it stays with you forever.

i have a folder of them. i treasure them dearly. one of my favorites is doppler dying in a glue trap.
If you tell people you like the art they make, you will eventually reach the creative people who screencap compliments and save them in a special folder to read through when times are hard. I have 5MB of one individual being rad about my writing. They have their own FOLDER. Be that person.
It rocks to tell people their shit rocks. Every single person who has ever been nice about my work has been appreciated for doing so. I take time to say I love stuff and it’s always the right time to remind somebody you value their work! You don’t need to get into detail either. Just say it rocks
