I've been feeling sick/tired the last two weeks (boo dry air), so I spent them the best way I knew how: reading books 1 - 15 of the October Daye series. 15 books in 23 days....sure. But now I need to read ANYTHING else for a bit. 😂

I read this newsletter and I'm about to go buy and eat an entire ice cream cake by myself because nothing matters but also everything matters. What a weird fucking time we're in.
We've never had free and fair elections in the United States. Not once. Not ever. Not for lack of trying! There's always a population blocked from voting. It's because the people with money know as soon as every citizen in every precinct can have easy access to the ballot, they're cooked.
People act like I'm naïve when I say I don't think they're going to cancel elections, and like no. I'm not?
I'm grimly pragmatic about how hard they have been making it to vote this whole time. They are *so good* at voter suppression, a lot of folks have just had the luxury of ignoring it.
