I don't actually do a lot of anime dubbing. Most of my career is in video game VO. That said, something I've always appreciated about the anime dubs I've been fortunate enough to work on over the years is how all of the named characters I've voiced have felt completely different from one another.

Yes, production companies are leaning more on AI for pre-production. It’s still 100% an actors right to deny services of any product that uses genAI instead of hiring artists.
