Gang Starr's 2nd album Step in the Arena was released OTD 35 years ago. Originally seen as jazz-rap pioneers, this was the opening salvo in an incredible run of 4 LPs which saw them set the standard for 90s boom-bap. And all this from 2 of the nicest and most humble cats in the biz. Fly high Guru.
