Would people be interested in a talk about the work I did on the antitrust case to support the DOJ against Google?

anyway if you're ever in a position where you're likely to say "they never knew how much that meant to me", please do your best to make sure they do know. before that becomes true

Thank you! That seems like the best way to approach it.
That’s true adults and older kids tend to be more compassionate than kids his age.

We need to bring back the concept of selling out to a degree.
i don't want to hear your most boomer complaint. what's your most millennial complaint?

Ahmed has more confidence to stand up to adults or older kids than kids his age since he interacts with more adults.

Teaching young kids to respect consent and that people shouldn’t be violating their space or they should not violate others’ space, privacy, etc., especially in embarrassing situations, shouldn’t only matter once puberty hits.
Little kids are still humans even pre puberty

Ahmed loves seaweed, but a classmate of his takes the seaweed from Ahmed without asking.
Should I pack an extra seaweed for the kid? Or should I tell Ahmed to stand up for himself?

In SF right now, I am reminded this city has so much potential if the people in charge or the affluent cared for beauty.

I was telling someone that my child isn’t allowed to watch aggressive sports like UFC or watch aggressive media. They looked at me strangely and thought I was controlling. Ah, to be young and not know anything about the media we consume and how it can influence our children’s and our own behavior.

My son wants to play for the @philadelphiaeagles.bsky.social and has me watching every Eagles game and keeps asking me why I love soccer more than football? I never would have thought this would happen when I moved to Philly.

I wonder if it’s possible we can create a kind of “differential privacy tool” that instead of making it easier for people to analyze data sets without exposing personal information, instead it poisons the well of data that is available to these “AI” companies.

Ahmed is turning 6 next week. Am I just going to be surprised how much time flies for the rest of my life?

I don’t know how long this side quest of consulting on antitrust remedies is going to last, but I am 3 for 3 with expert witnesses to tell the courts how to break up monopolies.

Meta programming is great. The step after
is to have it eval on it and, if it fails, generate a fix and try that over and over

I’ve been away from writing Scheme programs for years, and I recently wrote one. It’s a dumb idea. Instead of raising an error when the program fails, it calls out to an LLM to generate a fix.

Functional programming didn’t make it because purity testing is one of the stupid, bizarre, dumb, and self-victimizing statements I have heard around programming languages.
