The situation in the US 🇺🇸 is serious, with the constitutional and political order rapidly changing.

KIM LANE SCHEPPELE (kimlanelaw.bsky.social) explains in our editorial what has happened in the past few weeks and what is at stake.

Had a great time last Friday at the University of Oslo, discussing the possibilities and pitfalls of using legal strategies for rights movements.

Big thanks to @mlskilbrei.bsky.social and @annaratecka.bsky.social for organizing such a fantastic event!

This article sheds light on the complex intersection of populism, law, and non-state actors, offering insights into how these dynamics are transforming the legal-political landscape.
karolinakocemba.bsky.social
The article examines how right-wing actors (especially NGOs) in Europe are strategically engaging with legal systems to advance their agendas. Far from rejecting the rule of law, they are leveraging it - often in collaboration with populists - to challenge liberal norms and human rights.

My few thoughts on the Polish rule of law restoration.

“It seems that the sovereign, when it comes to the rule of law, is the one who determines who is a judge.”

MICHAŁ STAMBULSKI (@mstambulski.bsky.social) looks at the situation of judges in Poland, and ponders what happens when judges are both legitimate and illegitimate at the same time.
