Writing code in rust does not make it magically faster btw

It's astonishing how majority of people are ready to give up their privacy for minor convenience

UUIDv7 is sorted by timestamp and is very suitable for primary key. Using a random UUID as a primary key is really a terrible idea

I am literally only person in the world who uses typst based SSG. Give me pro :p
January 7, 2026 at 6:52 PM
Typst has a support for html generation. Very early stage but it works.

The whistle sound in the beginning of the live stream scared the shit out of me

2025 was one for the books. Started the year seeing one of my favorite bands live, checked Japan off the bucket list, and finally hit 'Go Live' on my streaming journey.

Here's to a consistent and more disciplined 2026. Happy new year everyone!

Better one would be building a runtime yourself with tokio::mio and write a blog about it

I got tired of cycling through Hacker News, Lobsters, and RSS feeds just to stay in the loop. kept missing the good stuff.
So built Cartero. It aggregates feeds, filters for quality and my interests, and pushes the best bits right where want them.

Pretty cool preject, although It feels nightmarish for production systems since it skips the entire epbf verification and does not protect against arbitrary data
December 28, 2025 at 12:49 PM
Yes that's the idea. You can try it on rust nightly if you like to. But I don't think this will be stabilized anytime soon

This should be simpler with stabilization of Tuple trait

Just witnessed a cat catching a mouse. I can say, without a doubt, that has to be one of the worst ways to die as a living being

Stumbled onto a LaurieWired video on what happens if humanity forgets to make CPUs. Instead of that what if conglomerates simply refused to sell silicon to the consumers and we will have to pay monthly fee for hardware. More likely scenario

what if humans forgot how to make CPUs?

Do people still watch stuff like this?
Building a full-stack app is no small feat - but it can really teach you a lot. In this course, you'll build a Spotify clone with Flutter, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL. You'll learn about the MVVM architecture pattern, data storage, state management, & more.
