Has anyone in the #therapy space trained as a therapist, with a full time job you can’t cut down because you need to pay for training, and as mum to a toddler? And no family around to step in? Any pointers? I’m determined to make it work, but goodness me.

I’ve always loved fairy tales, but since starting psychotherapy training, they’re next level and I’ll never read one the same way again. Re-read the ugly duckling (version in Women Who Run with the Wolves) in preparation for this weekend’s training and it is everything.

No amount of breathing exercises helps. Going to try hypnosis. Any other tips?

I am the world’s most nervous driver. Some would say, “well don’t drive then” but it’s really limiting outside London. Just got beeped at twice on a 8 minute drive I was attempting to try and build up confidence. Hate every second of it, can barely breathe and my jaw is clenched the whole way 😔

Thank you! And, I took the job because I wanted it, not because I feel like I'm past it 😂

So depressing. But, I start in November!

Depressing advice from my own dad when I was recently offered a job: "Take it. Think about your age (43), and you're a woman." Part of me wanted to shout "nonsense, crawl back into your cave" at him. The other part knew there was infuriating truth in it.
