I missed this: Gallup: "40% of [US] women aged 15 to 44 say they would move abroad permanently if they had the opportunity." (Was 10% in 2014.)

The pronatalism will continue until moral improves.

As obvious as the misogyny is, the mechanism here is interesting: being unsmiling isn't just a facet of who she is, it robs of her of the moral standing to criticize katemanne.substack.com/p/smile-pigg...

I am talking feminism, patriarchy, racial capitalism, beauty capital, fatphobia and more with Kate Manne at Princeton next week. I haven't been this juiced up for an event in a very long time.

Dr Kate Manne, philosopher, is worth reading. Her books deepened my thinking about human relations, the roots of the harm, and changed me.
I beg us not to lose sight of the role queerphobia played along with misogyny. Becca Good’s tone in interacting with Ross was just like her late wife’s: calm yet lightly mocking; neither scared nor deferential; and because of that deeply, deeply subversive. katemanne.substack.com/p/renee-good...

White women's privilege is not like tissue paper, protecting us. It is more like ground beneath our feet: when we are felled, as we may well be, there is at least something holding us. We do not simply disappear through the cracks like many non-white people do katemanne.substack.com/p/your-white...
